Tipperary is a small town in Ireland. The Gaelic name ‘Tiobraid Árann means ‘The Well of the Arra’ – a reference to the river, Arra, which flows through the town. So far one of the most impressive sites in Ireland.
Due to the fact that some of you guys know me pretty well by know (Travel vice) you would not be surprised if I told you that we did crash the private Christmas party of the local football club and won money in the lottery. Amazing and welcoming people that made our stay great and we did learn or two things about hurling and Gaelic football.
Except for a horrible cold B&B Tipperary gave us such a great experience.
Tipperary offers an abundance of amazing nature and even though the town is really small (only somewhat 4500 people live here) you feel welcome and embraced. One of the most amazing things we eat where in Tipperary at a semi-Italian restaurant with Pizza, pasta and the most astonishing steak you can ever imagine. We could discuss how they handle the receipt system in the restaurant mainly because I doubt that my accountant would accept this one but …
If you have trouble finding out where to go on your vacation. I strongly recommend Tipperary. Especially if you are a person who likes a walking and trekking holiday. Do not forget to jump in to Kickham house and get yourself a Guinness.
And remember Guinness is something you learn to like, so do not disregard it if you only tried it once.
Go raibh maith agat THIOBRAID ÁRANN, grá againn duit
